AREA OF EXPERTISE

In an effort to provide the benefit of the state-of-art technology to our valued customers, the PME team of professional of technocrats are engaged in continuous R&D an innovative designs in the line with highest standards of quality assurance .The transformers are designed to meet the values of No Load, Load Loss & Expected stray loss , temperature rise, winding hot spot, and noise level. Great emphasis is put on using the right value for critical parameters like flux density, current density, loss dissipation factor etc. Our current production capacity is of over 24,000 transformers of assorted rating from 10KVA/11 Kv class to 150 MVA/330 KV class.

Our transformer tanks are given shot blasting treatment followed by hot zinc spray treatment by flame gun and trouble free services in all sorts of climatic process to give a long lasting, corrosion conditions prevailing at the site. Ultra violet x-ray machine with fluorescent die-penetrating equipment is used to identify the welding cracks on the tank joints. This is followed by air pressure and vacuum test of tank body, measurement of paint coating thickness and leakage test on complete transformer to ensure leak free transformers.

The in-house QC Lab tests every product as per IEC-60076/ BS / IS-2026. Each and every component used in transformer undergoes series of stringent checks and controls at each stage of manufacture. It is ensured that strict technical and qualitative specifications are adhered to meticulously and religiously. Some of the tests carried out are: Measurement of winding resistances, voltage ratio, phase displacement, short-circuit impedance and load loss, no-load loss and no-load current. These are followed by a series of Di-Electric Tests like separate source power frequency test on both primary and secondary sides, induced over voltage test, break down value, resistivity and tan-delta dissipation factor of transformer oil, insulation resistance measurement test, temperature rise test and measurement of noise levels. Mechanical test like air pressure and vacuum test of tank body, measurement of paint coating thickness, Leakage test on complete transformers. Besides in-house test, transformers are tested for dynamic/thermal tests at CPRI.

The Impulse Test/Short Circuit Test are organized with 3rd parties at CPRI/eq. Lab.

POWER TRANSFORMERS

The design comprises of electrical, mechanical & thermal parameters base on customer specification ISO 9001/IEC Standard/BS/IS Standards.
The core is 3 Phase ,Three limb, Five limb or seven limbs, Core duct is provided to limit core Hot Spot.
HI-B/laser inscribed sheet steel is choosen as per requirement. Boltless Core is adopted to avoid Hot Spots in Core legs.
The Interleaved/Intershield Disc/Helical Coils are adopted.

DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMERS

Core is made of single phase, Middle Limb/Double Limb wound with two auxiliary limbs.
Helical, Disc, Spiral, coils arrangement are adopted. Copper Foil/Aluminium Foil is used in Low Voltage, High Current Transformer

Amorphous Metal Distribution Transformers (AMDT)

PME Power Solutions (India) Limited has license to manufacture Amorphous Metal Cores & Transformers with technology with Metglas, Inc, USA. It has entered in to a tripartite agreement with PME, Hitachi Metals India & Metglas Inc.

Amorphous Metal Transformers Core / Design & Construction

• Standard ribbon width.
• Use of single grade core material.
A sophisticated process of manufacture & transformer cores, right from automatic cutting line & stacking machine.
• The stack is up righted so that it is resting on edge.
• The under lap end is laced first, then the overlap.
• The outer lap made to match up & protective sheet is closed with tape to prevent joints from opening.
• Core is formed horizontally with respect to the joint window to establish the overlap pattern with the help of hydraulic jacks.
• The arrangement of amorphous core & final shape for use is shown in Picture.
